Among the most famous of French aperitifs is a pour of gentiane liqueur on the rocks with a squeeze of lemon. The wild aromatic gentiane flavors of Salers have excited palates for over 125 years and today it is the oldest gentiane liqueur of the Massif Central, birthplace to this style of product. Made to its original recipe with gentiane only from the Auvergne region, Salers retains the refined if rustic character that historically defined this drink.
