"One of two bottled vintages of their top cuvee I tasted, the 2015 La Comtesse is from one of the healthiest and more powerful vintages of recent times. A vintage like this suits the longer aging and elevage in oak for this pure Albarino from a plot of old vines. ...It has a subtly creamy nose with smoky notes and something reminiscent of condensed milk and creme brulee, intermixed with notes of bay leaf and yellow fruit. 2015 was a warm and powerful year, and the wines show concentration and clout. It has a round palate, with volume, length and clean flavors. There is more freshness in these last few vintages, especially in cooler years like 2016, and better integration of the oak, providing depth and not overpowering aromas or flavors, as the variety is quite aromatic and somewhat fragile."- 93 POINTS, RobertParker.com
