MALFY GIN CON LIMONE
Malfy Gin is distilled by the Vergnano Family in a traditional pot still using Italian juniper, coastal-grown lemons and six other botanicals. Monks on the Salerno coast in the 11th-century Italy first invented gin by combining locally foraged juniper, alcohol and other spices. It was initially used for medicinal purposes only.
G.Q.D.I. means Gin di Qualita Distilato in Italia. This is a seal and mark of quality and confirms that Malfy Gin is distilled by the Vergnano Family in Moncalieri, Italy, using a traditional stainless steel vacuum still. Malfy Gin's key botanical additions are lemon peels sourced from the Italian coastline. The lemon peels are steeped in alcohol and pressed in a basket press. The infusion is then blended with juniper and other botanicals before being distilled.
Malfy Gin is perfectly balanced at 41% alc./vol. - enough strength to carry the delicious flavors of the botanicals, but not so strong as to be overwhelming. The flavor is deliciously zesty citrus while still maintaining classic complex gin flavors - it is not overwhelmingly junipery.Delicious with tonic and a slice of lemon or in a Negroni.
