WINERY NOTES:
Our Brunello di Montalcino is produced with Sangiovese Grosso grapes carefully selected and harvested by hand in small crates, after a soft crushing, they arrive in steel and cement tanks where, after a few days pre-fermentation, they are vinified at temperature controlled with frequent pumping over, punching and delestage allow to optimize the extraction from the skins, during the alcoholic fermentation.
The malolactic fermentation, on the other hand, is carried out in cement tanks, the wine then enters the aging phase consisting of a minimum period of 24 months in oak wood, after which it stays for a year in cement vats finally without being filtered, but for simple decantation is bottled. At least 4 months in bottle must elapse before it is marketed.
The Brunello di Montalcino is produced only with grapes coming from the oldest vineyards. Its color is intense ruby and the aromas are of mature fruits, sustained in the palate by great complexity. The tannins are noteworthy, silky and oily, persistent. A wine of optimal equilibrium, elegance and complexity, it will increase its bouquet after a moderate time in bottle.
