Winemaker Notes:

Very well structured, with exemplary purity of red fruits. A striking Champagne on the nose offering similar sensations on the palate. Warm and satiny, lightly spiced with balanced hints of stoned fruits thanks to a lovely freshness in the finish.Ideal as an aperitif. Perfect with antipasti, salmon en papillotte, grilled pink lamb, strawberry salad.

100% Pinot Noir

Critical Acclaim:

92 points - Wine Spectator
"A graceful rosé that's lacy and airy in texture, with finely knit acidity enlivening the flavors of ripe cherry and strawberry fruit and lemon chiffon, accented by hints of smoke and spice."

90 points - John Gilman
"As I noted in the past, the Drappier Brut Rosé is one hundred percent pinot noir from the estate's own Aube vineyards and is produced by the saignée method, so that its lovely cherry color is from skin contact, rather than by adding a bit of still red wine to the blend. The cuvée is aged two and a half years sur latte prior to disgorgement and has a dosage of 7.5 grams per liter. The current release in the market is really pretty and stylish on the nose, offering up a vibrantly complex mix of strawberries, a touch of blood orange, chalky soil tones, rye toast, woodsmoke and a hint of clove in the upper register. On the palate the wine is brisk, full-bodied and focused, with a good core, frothy mousse, lovely minerality and a long, nascently complex and still quite tightly-knit and youthful finish. I was surprised how youthful the structure still was here, given how open the nose is at the present time, but it is certainly approachable today and should really blossom with a year or two in the cellar."

90 points - James Suckling
"Lightly spiced cherries and strawberries. A bold and expressive take on the rosé genre, this delivers an instantly appealing, drink now style. Good acid balance."

90 points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Disgorged in July 2018, the latest release of the NV Brut Rosé de Saignée is showing well, exhibiting aromas of red apples, white flowers, citrus oil and redcurrant. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and incisive, with a generous core of fruit, racy acids and chalky grip on the finish."
