Winemaker Notes
This parcel, which lies at 220 metres above sea level, has a clay soil with a gravel subsoil. The exciting thing about the wine is that it comes from vines planted in the 1930s over an area of 1.39 hectares. This yields a regular character which is classic Meursault, fine and round but not cloying. And this character remains constant from year to year, no matter what the climatic conditions have been. The vines are very healthy and this parcel could easily attain its 100th birthday.
An excellent aperitif, this wine goes very well with light starters and cheeses.

One of the paler colours. Light fruit on the nose, not the ample style of Meursault despite the lower slope situation. Very nicely balanced on the palate between white fruit and some more mineral acidity. This is not a large-scale Meursault but nicely in proportion. Barrel Sample: (89-91)
