Deep ruby red, with aromas of fresh red fruit thanks to a dominant proportion of Merlot. Delicately full and round in the mouth with tannins of great finesse that confer charm and grace. The balance is impeccable in this wine of pure pleasure that reveals a delightfully juicy and superbly silky finish.

JS91, James Suckling

"Aromas of blackcurrants, black olives, dried flowers, cloves and graphite with some mushroom undertones. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, tightly knit tannins. Savory, chewy finish. Try from 2023."

D90, Decanter

"With a vineyard located on gravel and clay-limestone soils, this has fresh and bright acidity, is a little under-powered through the mid-palate but fills out again to show unfussy pleasure, with ripe berry fruits and a serious bite of tannins through the finish. A yield of 44hl/ha, 33% new oak. Drinking Window 2022 - 2036."

VM90, Vinous

"The 2018 Tour de Pez offers brambly red fruit, sage and light minty aromas on a nose that takes several swirls of the glass to come out of its shell. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins for a Saint-Estèphe, but it is nicely focused with well-judged acidity and a cohesive, saline finish. Understated, but quite stylish."
