In 1984, Blanton's Bourbon was the first single barrel Kentuky whiskey on the market.

The world's first single barrel bourbon was created in 1984 by Elmer T. Lee.

It is named after the distillery's former president, Colonel Albert B. Blanton.

Elmer recalled how Colonel Blanton would sometimes hand-pick a "honey barrel" from the center of Warehouse H to enjoy with others.

Many years later, the Blanton's brand was created.

Today, Blanton's Single Barrel has become one of the most revered and awarded bourbons on the market.

The Gold Edition was the second version created, after the Original 93 proof.

This 51-degree Blanton's Gold is a special edition, few bottles produced each year and all bottled and decorated by hand, but a favorite among discerning bourbon aficionados.
Blanton's Bourbon is bottled from single casks.

Blanton's Gold Bourbon is aged for 10 years in American oak barrels in Kentucky.

From the same people that give you Pappy Van Winkle, Sazerac created the 'best value' of bourbon with Blanton's Gold.

Founded in 1975 by the Seagram Company, Eagle Rare, a product of the Buffalo Trace distillery, fell into the hands of Sazerac in 1989.

Albert Bacon Blanton is the progenitor of the distillery.

Today, Blanton or Buffalo Trace Distillery has 144 buildings and is one of the largest distilleries ever.
