Txakoli (Cha-KO-li) is a dry white wine that is typically grown and produced in the Basque region of Spain.
ABOUT ASTOBIZA:
Our main premise is to develop each year a Txakoli with the best quality possible. We want to reflect on our Txakoli our environment and climate, together with the character of our native grapes. We produce a dry, fruity, Txakoli with color and aroma.
Tasting Notes: Clean and bright. Straw yellow color with green tones. Intense varietal aromas, with notes of white fruit, (pear and apple) citrus, (grapefruit and peach). Fresh in the mouth, tasty, balanced, aromatic finish long and persistent, with slight bitter notes and minerals of varietal character and terroir.
Varieties of grapes: Ondarrabi Zuri 90%. Ondarrabi Zuri Zerratie 10%.
Recommendations: Serve cold, in glass, at about 8-10 degrees C. It's ideal to combine with sashimi, and sushi and other cold seafood. For contrasting but interesting marriages, try Gorgonzola and Cabrales type cheeses.
