Domaine Georges Roumier was created in 1924. At that time, most of the production was sold to local merchants. In 1945, however, Georges Roumier initiated the practice of domaine bottling. Ever since, the reputation of the Roumier name has soared ever-higher. In 1981, Christophe Roumier and his father Jean-Marie became partners to jointly manage the Domaine Georges Roumier. Today, the Domaine covers 11.52 hectares in Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Corton-Charlemagne and makes wines that are profound, elegant, and consistently delicious.

Critical Acclaim:
93 Points - Vinous
"The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras 1er Cru is extremely well defined on the nose of intense blackberry and raspberry fruit, crushed rock and light wilted iris flower. The palate is medium-bodied with a bold structure, a Les Cras with huge dimension and a firm grip at this early stage. Wonderful salinity here, and it fans out gloriously toward the finish. Next to the nascent 2019, this does not have as much poise, but it will surely age with style and time will smooth its edges."

93 Points - Burghound
"Here the intensely floral-suffused nose is also quite yet fresh ripe with its aromas of poached plum, cassis and pretty spice wisps. The exceptionally rich and dense full-bodied flavors possess an opulent palate impression though the almost pungent salinity adds a sense of lift to the surprisingly powerful, mouth coating and firm finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This too possesses excellent development potential, so patience absolutely advised."

92 Points - Wine Advocate
"Another structured, serious wine is the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras, one of the ripest in the cellar-as I observed last year. Opening in the glass with notes of cherries, plums raw cocoa, peonies and espresso roast, it's medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, with a voluminous core of ripe but lively fruit, powdery and abundant tannins and a youthfully chalky finish."
