WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
The grapes for the Mongrana are picked by hand and harvested based on their phonemic maturation. They are then moved to the cellars in small crates, where they undergo fermentation-first in stainless steel vats and then cement vats-until they are bottled. A small selection of the wine is aged in barriques for three months and then added to the final blend.
Mongrana is the quintessential expression of the colors, sights and sounds of the Maremma region: fruity and intense, fresh and embracing, the wine takes its name - and its character - from that of the noble family of knights depicted by the Italian Renaissance poet Ludovico Ariosto in his epic masterpiece Orlando Furioso. No animal products or byproducts are used in the production of this wine, it is certified vegan, organic and biodynamic
