Koloa Gold Rum is made from pure cane sugar, distilled in an impressive vintage 1,210 gallon, steam-powered copper pot still and cut with filtered water from the ancient Mount Wai'ale'ale.

The rum is distilled 2 times at 160 – 180 ABV.

COCKTAIL RECIPE

Hawaiian Mule

INGREDIENTS

2 oz - Koloa Gold Rum

2 tbsp - Roasted Pineapple, Diced

1 oz - Kalamansi Juice

1 oz - Ginger Beer

3-4 Mint Leaves, Chopped

RECIPE
  

1. Slap fresh mint to stimulate and release the fresh fragrance.

 

2. Add to the bottom of the glass and gently muddle. Be sure not to over-muddle, you may bruise this delicate herb which causes bitterness.

 

3. Add crushed ice, Koloa Gold Rum, Ginger Beer, and Kalamansi Juice.

 

5. Stir in cubes of roasted pineapple and garnish with a roasted pineapple wedge.

EXPERIENCE

BODY & COLOR

A vibrant, golden hued rum with a deep viscosity on the glass. Shimmering, light golden legs run slowly and deliberately down the inside of the glass.

AROMA

Starts off a rich caramel with wafts of butter toffee, light hints of amaretto and freshly roasted macadamia nuts.

TASTE

A soft, candy-like gold rum that presents itself boldly with no pretenses other than being a good-tasting gold rum with an upfront caramel flavor.

FINISH

Reminiscent of vanilla, light macadamia nut brittle and toasted almond.
