Vivid golden oak in appearance, with hints of molasses, candied apple and vanilla on the nose. Slightly sweet, with a burnt sugar and candied lemon finish.
- 2 oz Koloa Kaua'i Gold Rum
- 4-1 fresh, ripe pineapple chunks
- 1/2 lime leaf, or 1 tsp lime juice
- dime-sized slice of peeled ginger
In a large shaker glass muddle ginger with lime leaf or juice, add pineapple and continue muddling. Add rum and ice to 2/3 of a glass, shake. Remove ginger and lime leaf, pour into highball glass. Do not strain.
